To worry or not to worry?  That is the question today. 

The overall mood that's creeping in is one of division and uncertainty. People are concerned about the state of our nation, our economy, and our culture. This trickles down and causes a lot of worrying about how all this impacts the job market - and rightly so.

“What about layoffs?”

More and more, people are seeing layoffs at different companies and it is being announced in the news. 

This makes people think there will be more candidates in the job pool and fewer available openings, causing competition in the job search market to heat up!  

This scares people.

Worrying about these things won’t change them. 

However, you can change your mindset.

If you need to find a new job, whether or not you find yourself out of work, it’s natural to have an emotional reaction of fear or concern for the future in the type of environment we are experiencing.

So, first, allow yourself to worry.  That’s normal - natural - and it is important to have a handle on it so you can let it go.

Then, as quickly as possible and as often as necesary, shift your mindset from worry to taking decisive action.  

You only need ONE job, and you’re most likely THE ONE for the right job.
